Spotlight Night

We are doing something a little different for the next several Wednesdays.

That's because we are starting "Spotlight Night." Every Wednesday a different student will take the stage in front of the group and share about themselves.

I give out 15 questions, which they answer, and then there is a Q&A time to the one in the spotlight. It's a moment to SHARE honestly. An opportunity to be heard! Only our "regulars" will be doing the spotlight night.

Why are we doing this?
1. Hear a different voice besides mine
2. Hear a voice of someone their own age
3. Help verbalize their faith
4. Having to answer the questions makes them reflect and realize a lot about themselves and their past and also their future
5. To grow closer together as a group

And since I know you are really curious, here are the 15 questions:

1. Tell us about your family…
2. How you came to know Jesus…
3. People who have positively influenced you in your life and why…
4. Verse/Verses you find inspiration in and why….
5. Biblical/Spiritual Thing you’d like to share to impart wisdom to the others…
6. Area’s you are happy with in your life…
7. Area’s you aren’t happy with in your life…that you’d like to improve on…
8. Where do you see God during the week…Explain (conversations, Creation, music, movies, internet, etc)
9. How important are friends to you and why?
10. What you like best about our youth group….
11. One thing you wish our youth group would do as an event…
12. One thing you would like to see our youth group improve on…
13. Why do you come to church on Sunday mornings….is there one thing you wish was better about Sunday mornings?
14. One important thing you’d like to share with others that you’ve learned…
15. What do you think you want to do with your life

I'll try to post my thoughts on how Spotlight Night is going after a few weeks of it.

(I am making an effort to have more ministry related blogs)
